Hello, friends. It’s Donna Lewis here, and I’m so happy to be sharing a little of my craft, and a little of my heart with you today.
It seems like only yesterday that I was explaining to my nervous 5 year old son that we need to have good manners and say hello to the new kids next door, even when we feel shy. Courage is important.
This card is to sneak into his luggage, just to let him know that we’ll be praying for him, and that we’re thinking of him and wishing him all kinds of exciting adventures with YWAM.
The Sunshine Stamp Co. stamp set I’ve used for the card is Adventure Awaits. I’ve used copics to colour the images, Brusho crystals and a stencil for the sky, and the forest is stamped with Distress Ink. (I sprayed the stamp with water, and stamped twice to get the different shades).
Did you notice that I did a little surgery on my stamped fire? If you look at the stamp set, you’ll notice that the fire is taller than this. I needed it to be shorter for my design, so I cut the logs from the flames and sat the fire up on dimensional tape!
So, this card will travel, tucked into the corner of a suitcase, and will go with my prayers for spiritual growth and for the fire in my son’s life to burn bright for the one who deserves all his and my praise.
Until next time,
