Hey everyone, Blessed good Friday! I am busting to share my latest page in my Bible. This page was an idea that I have a hard time expressing with words… I see beauty in the crown of thrones. I know I may have lost a few …you are saying but He died this is a somber occasion, and your right it is but to me it is so much more. It represents an amazing gift of grace and love that gives me life…new life…forever life.
To start my page I knew I wanted to have a crown of thrones with florals intermingled in-between the thrones. I First drew a half circle as a guide then added those super cute florals from the “Floral” stamp set stamped in Staz on ink. After stamping I added the thrones and colored in the florals with my Pelikan watercolors. Next I used the “just my type” set to spell out the words ‘wounds’ and ‘healed’, then went back in with my letter stickers and filled in with a smidgen of my own handwriting. Finally I finished off the page with washi tape, a paper piece, tiny alpha stickers and tiny dots….my new obsession!
Isaiah 53:5 “But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.” My first two thoughts are #1. Wow God, that is some crazy wild love! and #2. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jesus! This verse always brings my mind to a hymn, so in closing I will leave you with the lyrics:
‘What can wash away my sin?
nothing but the blood of Jesus.”
