Hey friends! Sharing a page that I journaled in Luke 7 verses 43-45. The Tree and Its Fruit – “A good tree can’t produce bad fruit and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from Thorne bushes and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”
Wow! I just loved this! What you say flows from what is in your heart! You know that things we allow in our heart, the music we listen to, the movies we watch and the social media we follow- it all fills us up- what are you filling yourselves up with? I am by no means perfect but I really try to fill myself up with good stuff….I will unfollow too much negativity or anything really I wouldn’t want my kids to see on social media. That way , when I am on social media- I am being filled up with bible journaling pages and friends I can share joy with or sometimes share in their sadness and pray for them. And…..Music…ugh…I feel so old when I say that so much of the music on the radio is gross! I mean- I am pretty open minded, but ugh…..thankfully my kids don’t want to listen to a lot of it anyway and are pretty content with having the Christian radio stations on. My daughter is famous in our family for making us “family friendly” playlists on Spotify too! She loves all generes of music from The Beatles to Britt Nicole! I hope that you all understand where I’m going with this. If we continue to allow negative and inappropriate words and imagery into our lives- surely that’s what will pour out of our hearts and out of our mouths! What is in your heart today, friends? Are you producing good fruit? Maybe you want to start today? You can! Start Fresh! Stay in the word! Read daily devotions! Journal as often as you can! Fill yourselves up with truth and light so that you can produce good fruit!
I had a lot of fun with this page. But, I’m not going to lie….there was a point where it was a train wreck! Lol! So first I stamped the fruit from the new stamp set ‘Seaside’ and I started using my mermaid markers to color them in. I do love the vibrant colors off the paint but if I’m not careful the colors bleed and well….the lower left hand corner was bad! The red color in the strawberries bled pretty bad- so I stamped some strawberries on cardstock and then used my Tim Holtz distress markers to color them in. I used a Doiley (did I spell that right?lol) in the left hand corner at the bottom to cover up the mess I made and then added the cut out strawberries on top and then used a cut out strawberry on the top strawberry too! Then it looked better! I stamped the “Produce Good Fruit” words with the ‘Just my type’ alpha stamp set. Which is one of my fav Alphas! I added some Washi accents and made my own word fetti on my vintage type writer to say- what is in your heart? I also did a little paint splatter with red and black because I loooove paint splatters!
I hope you enjoyed my post today! I pray today for you all to only let things into your heart that your want to flow out! I pray that you are filled up with so much love that others will question why you are so happy ! Why your heart is so good! Have an amazing week and produce good fruit!
