Good Easter Sunday to you all!
I am excited to be here with you this morning to celebrate this holy day!
As we come into the light this morning, I can’t ignore the fact that we have to go through darkness to get here. And although that light shines through, there may be times that we feel darkness more than others and are heavy with burden. It is in those times that we squint our eyes, and pray big prayers for lightness and joy.
Something that brings me joy is music. Recently, I heard a new song from country band, Little Big Town, called “Happy People”. The chorus is: “Happy people don’t cheat, happy people don’t lie. They don’t hold a grudge, they don’t criticize. Happy people don’t hate. Happy people don’t steal. Cause all the hurt sure ain’t worth all the guilt they’d feel”. For me, these lyrics are a reminder to rise up, and be mindful of things that can cause darkness. I pray all of you are happy people today as we celebrate Easter, and bask in the Sonshine.
To create this entry in my Psalms Book, I used the Just My Type Alpha and Floral Stamp Sets (which have quickly become favorites) 🙂 I stamped the images in waterproof ink (that I heat set) and then used watercolor on top. I also added a doily underneath the mason jar insert to add a little extra texture.
