Hi Sweet Friends, Andi here 🙂
I used my stamps on a different project today. My brother is getting married in June, and I have been having the hardest time deciding on a gift that would be meaningful to him. After much thought, I’ve decided to gift him and his future wife a handwritten recipe book of items that were special to us growing up in our home and of new recipes that may inspire them to be wild & free in their new life together (I’m also planning on leaving blank pages for them to continue to write their story).
The recipe I added today is for Wild Blackberry Lemon Tarts with Lavender. I picked up this recipe during my travels in the Pacific Northwest at a beautiful lavender farm called Purple Haze. It’s a great recipe for the summer time in Florida, and one I can see them enjoying with friends on the patio.
The recipe book I am using is the Kitchen Keepsake Diary from Lily & Val. I began this page by writing down all the cooking directions first. Then, I used the heart list stamp from the “Social Check It” Set and added the Ingredients and Measurements. I then added some floral elements at the bottom of the page with the “Floral” set, some tiny crosses from the “Names of God” set and this cute little lady from the “retro” stamp set. I added some color with watercolors and some paint splatters for fun.
