Hi friends, it’s Nicki!
Today’s entry is all about going the simple route in my Bible Journaling.
I wanted to create a page for Jesus’ first miracle, the wedding at Cana, to depict how Jesus is all we’ll ever need. The people at the wedding might have just wanted cheap wine, but Jesus gave them new wine, the very best wine. Jennie Allen in the Proven If:Equip study says this, “Is it possible that the reason we are so unfulfilled, even those of us who say we follow Jesus, is that we are still going to religious jars or drinking cheap wine, when the new way and the new wine is fully available?” Instead of cheap substitutes, when I’m in need, I need to run to Jesus.
I used the floral stamp set at the bottom of this page, with intentions of filling the flowers in with color, but once I saw the starkness of the black and white, I decided to keep it as is! I’m really happy with how this page turned out, and need to keep in mind that simplicity is just as meaningful as a complex page!
