Hey friends! This was a super fun page to do! I actually did this as part of a Devo I did with my middle school bible journaling girls. Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be pleasing to you.
We talked about the 10 Commandments and how they are rules for our life from God. We actually went through them and broke them down in a way they could understand. We take for granted what the meaning of them-but there’s some words they just don’t understand. Covet, false idols and adultery were a few of the words they didn’t know what they meant. We talked about how when you follow the commandants that good things will come out of you- Sweet Words! But if you decide not to follow God’s Commandments that bad words and actions will be what comes out.
So what could be sweeter than a giant ice cream cone to make sure that they focus on Sweet Words?
I used the new set Sweet Treat for this layout. I stamped the cone and ice cream scoops , as well as the ice cream truck on to cardstock- I even put a cherry on top! I colored everything in using pitt pens, then I cut them out. I used my tape runner to attach everything to the page. I used some Washi tape that had sweet treats and also some striped Washi at the top. I actually cut the Sweet Treat stamp in half so I could use them as two separate words. I used the Just my Type alpha set for ‘words’ I added a few heart stamps from the Sweet Treat set. I used the new Script Dates – stamps to add my date to the page. I used a little bit of word fetti and Washi tape to embellish the already adorable truck! I used a silver sharpie for the details also.
and sorry for the side ways pic! Lol! It won’t let me rotate;) but the girls did a fantastic job! I love that each page is unique! If you notice the cute little buttons with sweet treats on them – they were sent to the girls by the sweetest lady! Thank you friend! We used them as tabs!
I hope you enjoyed my post today! Hope you find yourself speaking Sweet Words over eachother! Take a look at all the new releases! They are all sweet;) 💜 Bridgett
